Broughton-in-Furness is a small market town in the South West Lake District. Its centre is a fine Georgian square where Annan House - the Square Cafe - is located, on the road to Coniston. Whilst within easy reach of major tourist centres, Broughton retains an unspoilt character and quiet charm of its own which delights visitors. The roads are relatively quiet and the fells are much as they used to be many years ago. Broughton is a settlement which has kept its identity as a market town and retained its heart and soul. Here you will find members of the farming community and other locals going about their daily business, mixing with visitors who are given a warm welcome.

The Square Cafe at Annan House provides guests with comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation, in three spacious bedrooms.
